At Esperanza Guest house we treat our guests to five-star luxury. The House was built in 1903 and has been beautifully restored, retaining its wooden floors and pressed ceilings, as well as a grand sweeping staircase that offers a fine view of Table Mountain and wide wrap-around verandahs from where you can relax and admire views of the city.
Each of our six spacious double rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished with antique or classic furniture. Plenty of natural light pours into the rooms, and the airy feel brings comfort in summer, while rugs and heaters make them cozy in winter. The en-suite bathrooms have been purposely decorated with ornate bathtubs and brass fittings, taking you back in time to the era of first class colonial travel

Centrally situated in the suburb of Oranjezicht, the guest house sits beneath Table Mountain and is less than 10 minutes drive from Cape Town city centre. It is also within easy reach of Camps Bay and the beach. A shopping mall, banks, movie house and wide variety of restaurants are all found nearby and access to the main arterial routes of the city is also effortless. Esperanza also benefits from plenty of open space in its environs, including a park and reservoir, affording clear views and a sense of spaciousness right in the heart of Cape Town.

Our guests enjoy the kind of gracious hospitality most people thought was extinct. Guests mingle for evening drinks in our comfortable African-themed lounge, helping themselves to sundowners. The adjoining dining room is splashed in morning sun, where you can enjoy a complementary gourmet breakfast on demand. From here you can plan your day, with the help of our tour company, or simply make your arrangements using our extensive resource of brochures.
At Esperanza you’ll feel at right at home, maybe preferring to spend a day simply relaxing with us. During hot summer days you can cool off in our splash pool, saving you a trip to the beach. We also provide safe parking for your car and can arrange transportation and shuttles without fuss.

Business travellers have access to fax and long-distance calling, and often make their base with us for convenience and comfort.

Cape Town offers all the amenities you’d expect from a world-renown city, with excellent business infrastructure, professional services, world class health and hospital provision, manageable traffic and endless leisure options. A gym and swimming pool are both located within a kilometre of the guest house, and our neighbourhood is surprisingly safe and quiet.
